Baked Apples Stuffed With Marshmallows And Berries

Baked apples stuffed with marshmallows and berries

Serving Size: 3

  • 3 large apples
  • 2 big marshmallows (chopped)
  • 2 chocolate candies
  • Handful of blackberries (fresh or frozen)
  • Handful of cranberries (fresh or frozen)
  • Handful of raspberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

Cut of the apple caps, put aside. Use a paring knife to cut out the cores, making a deep hole where the filling will go.

Stuff each apple with berries, marshmallows and chocolate candies.

Put back the caps.

Put the apples in a baking dish and bake for 25-35 minutes, until the apples are cooked throughout and tender, but not overcooked. Meanwhile prepare the sauce.

Put in a blender rest of the berries, add brown sugar and blend everything together. Remove from the oven and allow to cool down before eating.

Serve with the berries sauce.

The baked apples dessert is great with kids or for parties, as everyone can choose their own filing and help stuffing them in. Also you can experiment with the fillings. You can put chocolate, condensed milk, nuts, raisins and many more. You can serve with ice-cream as well.
